WILKINSBURG, Pa. — A suspected intruder was found dead late Monday night after it is believed he was shot by an accomplice as they ran from a home in Wilkinsburg, police said.
The home invasion was reported shortly before 11 p.m. on Penn Avenue.
Police said three men and two women were at the home when two other men forced their way inside after stopping one of the women outside at gunpoint.
Two of the men inside the home were armed and confronted the intruders. That’s when one of the intruders began shooting at them as he ran out the door.

Police said the second intruder ran out the home’s back door.
Wilkinsburg police searched the area near the home and found a 29-year-old man who was wearing a ski mask dead on Superior Street, which intersects with Penn Avenue.
Investigators said the man who died is believed to have been shot by his accomplice, as the men who were already inside the home did not return fire.
