NORTH HUNTINGDON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A man tried to use a fake ID to finance a $100,000 car at a dealership in Westmoreland County on Monday.

According to the general manager at the Jim Shorkey Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat dealership, the man got dropped off there around 3 p.m. and walked in asking to buy a new vehicle.

He wanted to buy a $100,000 Jeep Grand Cherokee but wasn't going to put any money down, according to the general manager.

The general manager said the man then gave a salesman a fake license.

Police were called to question him, and shortly after they arrived he went to the bathroom and then ran across Route 30 to the Mitsubishi dealership, according to the general manager. He went behind the dealership and up over the hill.

Police confirmed Tuesday the man was arrested after they had been unable to find him Monday and called off a search.
