SWISSVALE, Pa. — Authorities are asking for the public’s help locating a registered sex offender suspected of aggravated assault and the attempted sexual assault of a child in Swissvale, police said Thursday.
Clayton Sudduth, 28, is accused of trying to sexually assault the 6-year-old daughter of a woman who he bludgeoned with a frying pan, according to Pittsburgh Crime Stoppers.
The 28-year-old woman suffered severe head trauma and a brain concussion, police said.
Sudduth is a registered sex offender from previous crimes linked to sex assault, as well as possessing child pornography in 2013.

Sudduth fled from the woman’s home after the Feb. 13 assault before police arrived.
A warrant is out for his arrest, and he is also wanted on a parole violation, police said.
A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of Sudduth.
