STOWE TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A man wanted for questioning in the fatal shooting of a woman was found dead hours later Wednesday.

Police said Jamar Ray Allen, 42, died in an apparent suicide. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office has yet to make a formal ruling.

Police identified the woman as 39-year-old Dolores Williams. Her daughter was wounded in the shooting just after 7 a.m. as well.

"When they arrived, they found a 39-year-old female suffering from gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene. A second victim -- a 15-year-old female -- was also found. She was transported to a local hospital," said Lt. Sherman of the Allegheny County Police.

The mother and daughter lived in the home, and according to court records, so did Allen, who police wanted to question about the shooting.

Hours after investigators said they were looking for Allen, he was found dead inside a car behind a home on Cora Street in Homewood.

Allen was already a wanted man for breaking into a home on Beltzhoover Avenue on March 24. Police said he held a juvenile girl at knifepoint while sexually assaulting her, but fled when she screamed for help.

It's unclear why Allen hasn't been arrested for that alleged crime.

Investigators tell Channel 11 the mother and daughter were found shot in an apartment building just after 7 a.m. Wednesday in the 1100 block of Island Avenue.

Investigators said the woman died at the scene and the teen is in critical but stable condition at the hospital.

Witnesses told Channel 11 they woke up to the sound of gunshots, then saw police outside the apartment.
