CARNEGIE, Pa. — The man wanted for attacking a man and woman in Carnegie was arrested in Scott Township Wednesday morning as he let a dog outside.
Richard Mickens is charged with killing Luke Connolly and stabbing a 31-year-old woman at an apartment on 3rd Avenue in Carnegie.
The woman was able to get help from a neighbor. She’s in critical condition.

Someone called police to say Mickens was sleeping at a home on Spikenard Street in Scott Township and accused him of assaulting another person with a knife before falling asleep. The victim was not hurt.
Two people inside the home were able to get out of the house while Mickens slept.
Police surrounded the home and arrested Mickens when he came to the back door to let the dog outside.
Mickens is facing several charges including criminal homicide. He is in the Allegheny County Jail.
