BETHEL PARK, Pa. — A massive water line break has shut down a busy Allegheny County road until repairs are made.
The break happened around 4:30 a.m. Monday at the intersection of Logan and Bethel Church roads in Bethel Park.

Crews moved in and discovered an 8-inch water main break with significant flooding and extensive road damage.
Pennsylvania American Water said approximately 100 customers have low or no water pressure due to the break, The company anticipates the completion of repairs late Monday evening.
Bethel Church at Logan Road will remain closed until further notice.
The more than 75-year-old cast-iron water main broke at approximately 5 a.m. this morning.

Neighbors say it’s been a challenge, but fortunately there’s less traffic because of the holiday.
“We’ve had it before from the flooding, so it’s not a fun thing, you know. Clean up, sanitizing, whatever. It is what it is around here,” said Bethel Park resident Dennis Spicuzza.

The Bethel Park Fire Department said the road is going to be closed for some time for ongoing repairs.
