MCCANDLESS, Pa. — The McCandless police chief is one of two officers off the job and under investigation.

The two officers were put on administrative leave two weeks ago after allegations of inappropriate conduct on the job were made in October.

McCandless officials have yet to confirm the two officers, but sources tell Channel 11 one of them is Chief David Disanti, who was hired to head the department in 2016 after Chief Gary Anderson retired.

Public comment came swiftly on social media, critical of the way town council has refused to tell residents what prompted the investigation and who is now in charge of the Police Department.

Residents will have a chance to ask questions when the Town Council committee meets at the municipal building.
