MCKEESPORT, Pa. — A McKeesport man is behind bars, charged with beating his girlfriend so badly with a baseball bat that she’s fighting for her life.
Investigators tell Channel 11 Andre Taylor hit his girlfriend at least 10 times with a wooden baseball bat. Investigators said the blows were so violent, the baseball bat broke in half.
Investigators said the assault happened at a home on Baldwin Street on Tuesday morning, when the victim ended the relationship with Taylor.

Neighbors said she ran screaming from her house across the street around 2 a.m., naked and covered in blood. They said there was a blood trail leading from one side of the street to the other.
The victim’s daughter was home at the time but was not hurt.
Taylor is the Allegheny County Jail charged with attempted murder.
