LEECHBURG, Pa. — A show of support Wednesday night for the Leechburg police chief as he waits for word on when he can return to work.
About a dozen people showed up at the council meeting to support Chief Mike Diebold.
[ Diebold has been off work since June, when he lost an arm in a fireworks accident. ]

He was supposed to return to work Monday, but the mayor told him not to.
"Since the day he had his accident, this town has just supported him and loved him and it's just been outstanding," said Karen Diebold, the chief's mother.
According to our news partners at TribLIVE, the mayor and council left the meeting, but wouldn't give any details about the chief's return.
