SHARON, Pa. — Police are investigating the death of a 2-year-old boy.
The toddler vanished from his home and firefighters found him Sunday evening in the pool in the backyard of a home near State Line Road in Masury, Ohio, less than a half-mile from where he lived in Sharon.
Annakin Gammon was taken to Sharon Regional Hospital, where he died.
"I'm a father; this is heartbreaking," said Chief Gerry Smith, with Sharon police. "A parent's worst nightmare."

The older boy, who is hearing impaired, was found walking by himself in Brookfield. Police also tell Channel 11 he is nonverbal and living with autism.
Smith says officers are talking to the parents, but it's too soon to say if any charges will be filed.
Investigators believe the boy drowned, but an autopsy is being done to confirm that.
