Nerf gun arena opens inside Pittsburgh Mills mall

NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. — Looking for a new idea for you child’s birthday party? Mike Polimadei says his 12-year-old son was the driving inspiration behind the newest attraction at the Pittsburgh Mills mall: Turf Attack.

According to our partners at TribLive.com, the new Nerf arena is located near Dick’s Sporting Goods. It offers public times for people to play as well as the ability to host private parties.

Polimadei said private parties have been booked all the way through December. He said the facility is closed to the public during private events due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Players can do target shooting or play capture the flag. Sensors are strapped to a player’s chest or to a wall for people to aim at. Players ages 4 and up are welcome to take part and everyone must sign a waiver before participating. There is a wide array of guns, including a foam pellet guns and rival guns. You can also bring your own Nerf shooter as well.
