New bill in PA legislature aimed at helping young entrepreneurs

HARRISBURG — There’s a new bill making its way through the Pennsylvania state legislature aimed at helping young entrepreneurs.

It’s called “Free the Lemonade Stand” bill. It would allow kids to operate a business without a license if their profits are under $5,000, and they are open for less than 84 days a year.

The bill was created after some towns started going after lemonade stands and yard sales.

It passed the state House unanimously, and now heads to the Senate.
