A new campaign launched by the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership is designed to help struggling restaurants.
The Good Eat$ Downtown campaign offers 25% off food and drinks on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at participating restaurants beginning March 9. The offer applies to dine-in, take-out, and delivery orders from participating restaurants.
Twenty-six restaurants have committed to participating in the campaign, offering the community a broad selection of food and fare sure to please every palate for either lunch, dinner, or both throughout the month of March.
“This 25% incentive gives both our new and regular customers another great reason to dine Downtown,” said Michael Zawojski, Executive Chef/Director of Food and Beverage at Revel, a restaurant offering locally-driven, seasonal cuisine near Market Square.
PDP then reimburses the eatery, using funds from a Richard King Mellon Foundation COVID-19 relief grant.
That means restaurants don’t lose out and customers save. Win, win.
“I think its a good idea get some people confidence, incentives to come down, get back into normal life!,” Simple Greek customer Mike Czarnecki said.
Simple Greek owner Sasha Machel says she believes it will be a success.
“Today is the perfect day to start this, the sun is shining,” she said.
