ETNA, Pa. — New details have been released by investigators as they continue searching for a woman missing since January.

Police said Kaylene Oehling, whose 21st birthday was in August, has been missing since January 10. She was reported missing by her mother to Etna Police.

The Allegheny County Police are now assisting with the search for Oehling. Police said she was last seen at her friend’s house in the Etna area late in the evening of January 9. She reportedly left that friend’s house to meet someone and was expected to return, but she never did.

Tiffany Young, Oehling’s mother, is holding onto hope that her daughter is OK.

Oehling’s last known communication with her family was a text message sent to her mother in the early hours of January 10. She was expected at her mother’s house to babysit that morning. She never appeared and her mother was not able to reach her, police said.

“At 1:36 a.m. she messaged me that she would be at my house by 9:30 a.m. the next morning because I had a work meeting and she was supposed to babysit her siblings,” Young said.

Since then, Young said calls to her daughter have gone straight to voicemail.

Oehling left without her medication and stopped using all social media, which Young said is not like her daughter.

Oehling is described as about 5′1″ tall with brown hair, brown eyes and she wears glasses. She was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and camouflage pants.

Anyone with information about Oehling’s whereabouts is asked to call the police tip line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS.
