New owner of Conneaut Lake Park lays out long-term plans

CONNEAUT LAKE, Pa. — To make Conneaut Lake Park a premier amusement park will take rides, music, events and most importantly, time. The new owner laid out his long-term plans for the property after it was sold during bankruptcy proceedings.

“The way we’re imagining this is as a family events center,” Todd Joseph of Keldon Holdings LLC told our partners at TribLive.com. “We’re going to do whatever it takes to make this the premier event space in the area.”

The park and its assets were sold for $1.2 million cash last week.

Joseph said the main things they’ll do first are clear up blighted areas of the park and get some areas open sometime in May. That includes tearing down buildings, fixing asphalt and just generally cleaning up.

“We’re going to be opening in a limited capacity with potentially Kiddieland and the water park open,” he said.
