PITTSBURGH — No additional cases of the coronavirus were reported since Tuesday in Allegheny County, though there have been three more deaths, the Allegheny County Health Department said Wednesday.
There have been 2,113 cased of COVID-19 in the county. Of those, 1,979 are confirmed cases and 134 are probable cases.

Deaths rose to a total of 177 Wednesday. Of those, 165 are confirmed to have been caused by COVID-19 and 12 were probably of COVID-19. All deaths have been people between the ages of 42 and 103.

“Today’s report of no new cases of COVID-19 does not reflect the real-time spread of the coronavirus in Allegheny County. It often takes 2 to 3 days for labs to report new positive cases. We continue to have COVID-related deaths and hospitalizations in our county. The risk of infection has not subsided, and we must continue to take steps like keeping 6 feet from others, wearing masks, washing hands and staying home if we’re sick,” a news release from the Health Department said.

The breakdown of cases by age group is as follows:
- 0-4: 15 (1%)
- 5-12: 22 (1%)
- 13-18: 35 (2%)
- 19-24: 137 (7%)
- 25-49: 709 (34%)
- 50-64: 548 (26%)
- 65+: 647 (31%)
Of the cases, 1,140 have been female and 973 have been male.
There are 358 people who have been or are currently being hospitalized, an increase of one since Tuesday.
Across the state of Pennsylvania, there have been 79,818 cases of COVID-19 and 6,319 deaths as of Wednesday.
