District leaders said changing the boundaries for who attends the elementary and middle schools will help keep entire neighborhoods going to the same schools and cut down on classrooms that are too large.

Current 4th, 6th, and 7th grade students have the option of staying in their current school next year (elementary is grades K-5, middle school is grades 6-8). The 4th grade students who elect this option must provide their own transportation. 6th and 7th grade students will be transported by the District.
