Officials issue warning after black bear spotted in Robinson Township

ROBINSON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Officials in Robinson Township issued a warning after a black bear was spotted.

The police department said it was seen off of Country Club Drive. The Pennsylvania Game Commission has been notified.

“For everyone’s safety, it would be best if families keep their distance and try to avoid contact,” police said on Facebook.

This is the second time in a week that a black bear has been spotted roaming a community in Allegheny County. A bear was seen on Mount Washington and in several neighboring areas early Wednesday morning.
