ELK COUNTY, Pa. — Drivers in elk country in north western Pennsylvania are being urged to stay alert after several elk vs. car crashes.
Officials said the due to the heavy snow and icy conditions this winter, animals were having difficulty getting food sources. Several elk were hit by cars, according to the Elk Country Visitor Center.
