OCEAN CITY, Md. — Ocean City, Maryland -- a popular vacation destination for Pittsburghers -- is reopening this weekend, WBAL-TV reported.
The beaches and boardwalks, which are about a six-hour drive from the Steel City, will be back open starting Saturday, officials confirmed to WBAL-TV.
People will not have to wear masks, but social distancing guidelines will need to be followed because of the coronavirus pandemic, officials told WBAL-TV.

However, not everything in the area will be open this weekend.
According to WBAL-TV, hotels are closed to anyone other than essential personnel and restaurants are only open for carry-out.
“This is a way to give nearby residents more opportunities to get outside and enjoy fresh air, while still adhering to social distancing guidelines and gathering limits. The governor’s stay-at-home order remains in effect,” a joint statement from Ocean City and Gov. Larry Hogan’s office said.
