ETNA, Pa. — One person was killed in a shooting on Route 28 early Saturday morning.
Pennsylvania State police said the incident occurred at 2 a.m. near exit 5 southbound to Sharpsburg.
Police said the victim, Shane Edwards, 22, of Pittsburgh, was hit with a bullet after the vehicle he was in was shot at several times.
Edwards was taken to a local hospital where he died.
The road was closed down for several hours while police conducted their investigation.
This is believed to be an isolated incident. This investigation is ongoing.
