HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Pennsylvania's lieutenant governor is apologizing as he faces an investigation by the inspector general's office but is providing scant details about what he feels he did wrong.
Democratic Lt. Gov. Mike Stack told reporters Wednesday that he's said "things in anger or stress or frustration" that he wishes he hadn't said.
Stack summoned reporters to his Capitol offices to address reports there's an investigation into how he and his wife have treated the troopers and state workers who guard and serve them.

“I promise the brave men and women who protect us every day that I will do better, and so will my wife,” Stack said.
The 53-year-old Stack is a former state senator from Philadelphia who was elected more than two years ago.
State officials said the cost to staff and maintain the lieutenant governor's official residence at Fort Indiantown Gap is about $450,000 annually. Stack's salary is $162,000 a year.
