SHERADEN, Pa. — DJ Hosack just returned home from Guam, ending his two years of service in the military.
“I thought it was gunfire, honest to God. That was my first reaction, which was why I was so startled,” he said.
Hosack now lives with PTSD, and went running for his life when someone started shooting paintballs out of a moving car at him and his friends. A camera on the house was able to capture the entire encounter. “It’s ingrained that you initially think you’re in danger,” Hosack said. “I’m already really on edge with anxiety and this put me a little bit farther over the edge.”

Bright yellow circles are now painted on Cory Sylanski’s home and his mother’s decorations.
“They missed everyone, thankfully, but they hit our door, my dad’s door over there,” he said.
Sylanski watched what his friend went through that day.
“Watch what you’re doing, that’s all I have to say. Watch what you’re doing. One day you won’t be as lucky,” he said.
Police said they are still investigating.
