Parents of baby found dead in wall of Charleroi home could face death penalty

CHARLEROI, Pa. — The parents of a baby whose body was found hidden in the wall of a home in Charleroi could face the death penalty.

On Friday, the Washington County District Attorney’s Office announced it is seeking the death penalty for Kylie Wilt and Alan Hollis.

Wilt and Hollis’ baby boy was found dead in November 2021. Wilt eventually told investigators her son died in February.

Wilt admitted to hiding the boy’s body in the wall of their Lookout Avenue home, according to authorities. She said she placed the baby’s body in a crate, cut a hole in the wall, covered the body with blankets and put drywall and paint over the hole in the wall.

Investigators said Wilt and Hollis had been lying to Children and Youth Services workers about the baby’s whereabouts.

Wilt and Hollis are facing a list of charges that includes criminal homicide, aggravated assault, conspiracy, concealing the death of a child and abuse of a corpse.
