TARENTUM — A local pet rescue celebrated its 5th anniversary on Saturday by doing what it does best, rescuing animals.
Paws Across Pittsburgh kicked off the anniversary with the arrival of nearly 30 animals from Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia.
Just a reminder to always spay and neuter your pets...and if you need assistance there are always people like @PawsAcrossPgh to help you. #WPXI #spayandneuter #cats #dogs pic.twitter.com/DEW1Z5nDUP

Run solely by volunteers, the rescue provides medical care and helps find “forever homes” for cats and dogs. It operates on a foster-based model, meaning the animals live with foster families until they are adopted.
The group’s goal is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome homeless, abused and/or unwanted dogs and cats.
