The investigation shut down the busway.
A tow truck removed the bus involved in the accident.
Witnesses tell Channel 11 they were standing on the platform when they watched the woman walk in front of a parked bus and step out into the roadway, where she was hit by another bus coming down the busway.
Bus traffic was backed up for quite a while, which shut down the section of the East Busway, and all traffic was re-routed.
