Pennsylvania hunting licenses to go on sale June 22

HARRISBURG, Pa. — With expanded Sunday hunting and an archery season that continues deeper than ever into the rut, officials with the Pennsylvania Game Commission are planning for 2020 to be a historic year.

Hunting licenses for 2020-2021 are set to go on sale Monday, June 22.

General hunting licenses and furtaker licenses:

  • $20.90 for state residents
  • $101.90 for nonresidents

Senior hunters and furtaker licenses for people 65 and older:

  • $13.90 for a one year resident license
  • Lifetime resident license for $51.90
  • $101.90 for lifetime combination resident license

Big game hunting in the state will now be allowed on Sunday, Nov. 15 for archery deer hunting, Sunday, Nov. 22 for bear hunting, and Sunday, Nov. 29 for deer hunting during firearms season.

Game commission officials encourage people to buy early in order to be able to apply for an antlerless deer license and a Deer Management Assistance Program permit. Residents who purchase their hunting license are eligible to apply for an antlerless deer license July 13. Nonresidents can apply July 20.
