State Police investigating after 43-year-old woman shot outside New Castle Walmart

NEW CASTLE, Pa. — Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a shooting in a Walmart parking lot in New Castle.

The shooting happened at around 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the Walmart on West State Street, according to investigators.

The Walmart is near a lot of other businesses, such as McDonald’s and Arby’s.

State Police said Monday that the 43-year-old female victim was rushed to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown in critical condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
