The State of Pennsylvania is following suit, while still keeping the mask mandate in place for those who haven’t received their shots.

If you are fully vaccinated, you can return to doing things you did before the pandemic without the mask or social distancing.

However, the CDC stated you will still need to follow whatever the guidance is at your job or any business you go to.

Looking specifically at Pennsylvania, the mask mandate is still in place for unvaccinated people until 70% of adult Pennsylvanians have received their shots.

Channel 11 visited the Ohio-Pennsylvania border on Thursday. One man in Midland told us he still hadn’t received his vaccine and isn’t certain when or if he will.

Folks in Ohio told us they’re pleased to see the governor easing restrictions in the weeks ahead. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine is even offering vaccine incentives to state residents.

Nearby, West Virginia announced it is lifting its mask mandate on June 20.

Channel 11 asked the state when they think we could get to the mask mandate removal goal. They think that it could be in late June. The state currently sits at 46.7% vaccinated.
