PITTSBURGH — A person was robbed after using an ATM early Monday morning in Pittsburgh’s Oakland neighborhood, police said.
The robbery was reported just after 2:30 a.m. on Fifth Avenue, and the victim told police he was walking back to his car after using the ATM when the robber threatened to shoot him and demanded his money. No weapon was seen.
After the victim handed over the money, the robber ran away.
University of Pittsburgh police apprehended a suspect, 28-year-old Christopher Henderson, a short distance from where the robbery happened, officials said. His arrest was handled by Pittsburgh police, and he is charged with robbery and terroristic threats.
