Person shot on main street through Beaver County community

MIDLAND, Pa. — One person was shot early Monday morning on the main street that runs through a community in Beaver County, officials said.

The shooting was reported about 1:30 a.m. on Midland Avenue in Midland.

A bullet hole could be seen in a car’s windshield on the driver’s side. There was another bullet hole in the driver’s side window.

Police had the entire block near Sixth Street shut down for about five hours. Pennsylvania State Police troopers, as well as officers from the Midland and Ohioville police departments, were at the scene.

The victim was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital.
