PITTSBURGH — A person in their 20s is among the 10 new deaths reported in Allegheny County Tuesday, and more than 1,000 new cases in the last 24 hours, according to the Allegheny County Health Department.
There were a total of 1,059 new cases reported from tests from Nov. 20 to Dec. 14, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 41,933 since the pandemic began.

Of the 10 additional deaths, one person was in their 20s, two people were in their 60s, three people were in their 80s, three people were in their 90s, and one person was more than 100. Five of the deaths were associated with long-term care facilities.

Since March 14, there have been 2,580 people hospitalized and 675 deaths.
Across Pennsylvania, there were 9,556 additional positive cases of COVID-19 reported, bringing the statewide total to 509,320.
There are 6,026 individuals hospitalized with COVID-19, which is double the peak in the spring.
There were 270 new deaths reported across the state for a total of 12,890 deaths attributed to COVID-19.
There are 3,072,305 people who have tested negative to date.
