The popular ride, which had a 53-foot drop chute, debuted at Kennywood in 1975 as the park’s first million-dollar attraction.
The water ride was shut down for hours for maintenance issues the day before the amusement park planned to retire it after 42 years.
It also shut down for approximately one hour the last day of operations, upsetting fans who were waiting to get one last ride before it officially retired.
The Log Jammer's last day of operation was Sept. 17.
