PITTSBURGH — Pitt quarterback and one of the top NFL draft prospects Kenny Pickett announced he won’t be playing in the upcoming Peach Bowl.
In a message posted to social media, Pickett thanked the university, Coach Pat Narduzzi and his teammates. He also made sure to thank the fans.
“To the fans, thank you for all of your support throughout my career,” Pickett wrote. “With love and gratitude, I have decided to forgo the Peach Bowl and begin training for the 2022 NFL Draft.”
Pickett is projected to be a first round draft pick in the spring. A number of analysts have the Steelers selecting him.
