PITTSBURGH — The Dollar General on Main Street in Sharpsburg has a mouse infestation, according to the Allegheny County Health Department.
The consumer alert was posted on Thursday.
Mouse droppings were found on the floor throughout the back storage room and on several mobile storage carts.
The report stated that there is evidence of gnawing and possible nesting. There were scattered mouse droppings on food shelves, pet food shelves and linen shelves.
Many mouse droppings are mixed with loose pet food on the shelves and there were mouse droppings inside the women’s room and scattered on the floor next to shelves along the walls.
When the infestation is removed, the health department’s website will be updated.
