PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh-based GNC said it may consider filing for bankruptcy protection as early as this week.
The company is trying to delay payment of $50 million to its lenders, according to our news partners at TribLIVE. The money is due by Saturday.
Filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy is one option, company officials said.
Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, GNC was planning to close about 900 stores.
