Pittsburgh custom agents seize over $51,000 in counterfeit electronics, shoes, purses

PITTSBURGH — Agents with U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced they seized 19 packages from Hong Kong, two from China and one each from Taiwan and Singapore worth more than $51,000.

The packages contained:

  • 264 Flawless shavers
  • 235 Apple chargers
  • 120 pairs of Apple AirPods
  • 60 HDMI switches
  • 21 fully-loaded Nintendo-like gaming systems
  • 20 pairs of Air Jordan sneakers
  • Assorted Louis Vuitton, Prada, Fendi and Gucci purses and wallets

CBP agents said the packages were being shipped to addresses in Allegheny, Washington and Westmoreland counties.

According to a news release, China remains the largest source for seized counterfeit and pirated goods.
