PITTSBURGH — During a spree of shootings in the Pittsburgh area Friday night into Saturday, a man was found killed inside his vehicle in Pittsburgh’s Sheraden neighborhood.

Police said Kristofer Metzger, 35, had been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead on Zephyr Avenue.

On Sunday, his family created a GoFundMe campaign to try to raise funds for his funeral arrangements.

In the description, the post -- written by Metzger’s brother -- said he was driving for Uber when the deadly shooting happened.

The GoFundMe also said he was a die-hard Pittsburgh sports fan and leaves behind a wife and daughter. So far, it has raised more than $5,000 -- with a goal of $25,000.

Police have not released any information about what led to the shooting or a description of a suspected shooter.

“Hopefully, they’re able to use that data to find out when his last trip was, and where he was going to,” Stephen Metzger said. “I want answers to my questions that I have, and I know I may never get. Why? What happened?”

An Uber spokeswoman release the following statement:

“We are devastated by this news and our hearts go out to the family and loved ones of Kristofer Metzger.”
