Pittsburgh native Michael Keaton part of business venture to bring hundreds of jobs to area

PITTSBURGH — You might know Michael Keaton as Batman, as he’s set to don the cape again for an upcoming movie. But the Pittsburgh native is also a businessman, signing on to a business venture that could bring a plant and hundreds of jobs to the region.

According to our partners at TribLive.com, Keaton is partnering with a company out of Vancouver, Canada to assemble a green building system that Nexii Building Solutions has pioneered. The plant will employ more than 300 people.

The building system uses a sustainable, prefabricated alternative to concrete that can be used to get buildings up quickly. The buildings are reportedly cost- and energy-efficient than traditional ones according to the company.
