Pittsburgh Penguins will give away jerseys and other prizes for Fan Appreciation Night

PITTSBURGH — Lucky Pittsburgh Penguin fans could receive jerseys fresh off the backs of their favorite players or other prizes during PPG Paints Arena’s Fan Appreciation Night.

On April 29, PPG Paints is hosting “Shirt Off Our Backs” night, which guarantees that 23 fans in attendance will win signed jerseys. Fans will receive a free scratch card and a mini-stick as they enter the arena. Scratch cards will offer the chance to win one of the jerseys, mystery boxes that contain autographed merchandise or gift certificates from PensGear. Winners of the competition will be revealed on the scoreboard at the end of the game.

Traditionally, fans would receive their jerseys during a post-game “Shirt Off Our Backs” ceremony. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, that ceremony has been canceled and the jerseys will be signed and mailed to the winners.

One lucky fan will win the grand prize of a paid four-day trip to Napa, California featuring various different tastings and tours, and tickets to see the Penguins play the San Jose Sharks at the SAP Center in San Jose during the 2022-23 season. That winner would be able to bring three guests on their trip.

The Pittsburgh-based band, “The Clarks,” will perform before the game at 6:10 p.m. and play in between both intermissions.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and the game against the Columbus Blue Jackets will begin at 7 p.m.
