Pittsburgh police investigate shooting in Hill District

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh police are investigating a shooting in the Hill District, which injured one man.

The incident occurred at Bedford Dwellings in the the 2400 block of Bedford Avenue around midnight Saturday.

Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert, followed by a 911 call for multiple rounds fired, and later learned that the victim had been driven to the hospital just after midnight with multiple gunshot wounds to the face and one to the back.

The man was in stable condition, police said, and no other victims were found.

Detectives from Major Crimes and the Mobile Crime Unit arrived to investigate and process evidence. There are no suspects or arrests at this time. The investigation continues.
