Pittsburgh police officer hurt after car clips motorcycle unit

PITTSBURGH — A Pittsburgh police officer was hurt Thursday night after police said this motorcycle unit was clippd by a passing car.

It happened on East Carson Street at South 18th Street on the South Side at 11:15 p.m.

The officer experienced some back pain and was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

The woman who was driving the car was detained and taken for a sobriety test.

Her name hasn’t been released.
