PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Public Schools officials sent out an alert that the Pittsburgh South Hills facility will be closed:
“Due to a staffing shortage caused by positive cases of COVID-19, COVID-related quarantines, and other staff illnesses, the Pittsburgh South Hills facility will be closed Wednesday, December 22, and Thursday, December 23. Both days will now be asynchronous learning days for students. This means that instead of reporting to school, students will log in from home and complete assignments independently. Grab and Go meal service will be available to students both days from 9 AM to Noon in the school’s cafeteria.
The District’s facilities team will disinfect the building this evening. The school will reopen for in-person learning on January 3, 2022, following the winter break, which begins for all schools this Friday.”
