Pittsburgh ranked among worst-run cities in America in new study

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh is among the worst-run cities in America, according to a WalletHub study.

Out of 150 of the most populated cities, Pittsburgh came in at 115 on the list of “Best- & Worst-Run Cities in America.”

WalletHub compared the cities based on six categories: financial stability, education, health, safety, economy and infrastructure & pollution.

“We can learn how well city officials manage and spend public funds by comparing the quality of services residents receive against the city’s total budget,” according to WalletHub.

A “Quality of City Services” score was calculated from the results of the six categories and then measured against each city’s per-capita budget.
