Saturday morning a gunman opened fire inside the Temple of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh's Squirrel Hill neighborhood killing 11 people and injuring six others. In response, several vigils and memorials have been planned.

A multi-faith vigil held in Squirrel Hill spilled out from a church into the surrounding area at the intersection of Murray and Forbes avenues. The vigil was being organized by Dor Hadash and Allderdice High School students. Hundreds of people are in attendance.

A second Pittsburgh vigil is scheduled for Sunday at 11 a.m. at the Sewickley United Methodist Church. During the vigil there will be a candle lighting and laying of roses for each of the victims.

Across the country, crowds have gathered outside the White House to speak out against hate crimes and in Philadelphia a large crowd gathered throughout the night at Ritterhouse Square.
