PITTSBURGH — In Pennsylvania, whether you have the vaccine or not, you will no longer be required to wear a mask unless a private business or building requires you to do so.
“No mask, it’s wonderful,” said Nancy Wargo.
No mask, even without the vaccine: that’s the latest guidance from the Pennsylvania Department of Health. For some businesses, like Divine Nails and Spa, the nature of the job makes it hard to be socially distant. With the end of the mask order, things are almost completely back to normal.
“They feel comfortable. All of us, yeah they come back. They’re happy,” said manager Tiffany Tran.
The CDC guidelines still say to wear masks at airports, on planes, buses, trains and other forms of public transit. Private venues can now have the final say on masks.
“If I’m going to be in a crowd, in a confined space, I think I will wear a mask,” Wargo said. “It is a sense of responsibility not only for themselves but for others. So they’re more likely to contract it and then spread it so I think that they should.”
