Places in Pittsburgh area requiring masks, proof of vaccination due to COVID-19

PITTSBURGH — A number of restaurants, bars, stores, schools and local governments are requiring people to wear masks or show proof of vaccination as cases of COVID-19 continue to rise.

Disease experts point the finger at the delta variant, which is able to spread more easily.

Here is a running list of places around the region where you’ll want to make sure you have a mask and/or proof of vaccination:

Adda Coffee & Tea House

All locations are requiring employees and customers to wear a face mask upon entering.

Apteka

This Bloomfield restaurant is required that guests be vaccinated before being allowed to dine in. When making a reservation online, customers will have to check a box indicating they are vaccinated or will test negative within 48 hours of their reservation.

Arcade Comedy Theater

In a social media announcement, the facility announced all staff, teachers, students, artists, volunteers and guests will be required to present proof of a COVID-19 vaccination.

Ascend Pittsburgh

The climbing gym posted on its website that masks are voluntary and that staff will expect and assume “that those who choose to not wear a mask are vaccinated.”

The Cafe Garden

All guests and employees will be required to wear a face mask upon entering the cafe. It is recommended guest wear one when ordering from the outdoor window and when not eating or drinking.

Club Cafe

Customers, guests and touring parties must present proof of vaccination (last dose administered no less than 14 days prior to date of arrival) or a negative COVID test taken within 72 hours and a government-issued photo ID upon entry.

Commonplace Coffee

Across its multiple locations, staff will be wearing masks and it is strongly encouraged for all customers.

East End Brewing

Staff members will be wearing masks and customers are strongly encourage to follow suit any time they’re not seated.

GetGo

The company announced that all employees would be wearing masks regardless of their vaccination status. Guests are strongly encouraged to wear one as well.

Giant Eagle, Market District

Employees at all stores are required to wear a mask according to new company policy regardless if they’ve been vaccinated or not. Shoppers are also encouraged to wear one.

Heinz Field

The Pittsburgh Steelers and Heinz Field Management are now requireing fans to bring their masks for the upcoming preseason game against the Detroit Lions.

Idlewild & SoakZone

Park officials reinstated a mask requirement for everyone in indoor areas regardless of if they’ve been vaccinated or not.

Kennywood

All guests are required to wear a mask in indoor areas of the amusement park, regardless of vaccination status

Leo. a public house

The North Side eatery announced that all guests must show proof of vaccination and ID before being allowed to dine-in.

Lola Bistro

Owned by the same people as Leo. a public house, the bistro announced that customers are required to show proof of a COVID-19 vaccination and a matching ID.

Mr. Roboto

The performing arts facility in Bloomfield said on social media that it will now require event attendees to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test taken within 48 hours of entry. Pictures of a person’s vaccination card will be acceptable.

Mr. Smalls Theatre

Starting Sept. 3, Mr. Smalls Theatre in Millvale will require proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result, along with a government issued ID.

Pavilion at Star Lake

If you are fully vaccinated, you typically do not need to wear a mask. However when Maroon 5 is in town on August 25, the band is requiring everyone at the show to prove that they’re fully vaccinated or provide a negative COVID-19 test within 48 hours of the show.

This is also the case for the Dave Matthews Band Concert on August 27. Children under the age of 12 may attend the concert if they provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 48 hours of the show. Ticket holders using a negative test for entry will not need to get subsequent tests if they are attending multiple shows at the same venue.

PPG Paints Arena

It is recommended that anyone attending an event at the arena wear a mask or face covering.

Row House Cinema

This movie theater in Lawrenceville is requiring proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test result.

Sandcastle Water Park

All guests are required to wear a mask indoors inside the park whether they’ve been vaccinated or not.

Scratch & Co.

Starting August 4, all staff members and guests were required to wear a mask while on the premises.

Spork

Starting Aug. 10, all diners at the restaurant will be required to show proof of vaccination.

Stage AE

The popular North Shore concert venue announced it is now requiring proof of vaccination starting Aug. 18.

Target

At all Target stores across the region, employees are required to wear a mask. It is also strongly encouraged for shoppers in CDC-defined areas of high or substantial transmission

U.S. Amateur Championship at Oakmont Country Club

It is recommended that all competitors, volunteers, officials and guests wear a mask when indoors unless actually eating or drinking.

Viridis

All guests and employees are required to wear masks inside regardless of vaccination status. There is also minimal dine-in service only for those who are vaccinated.
