PLUM, Pa. — Greensburg Road (State Route 366) was shut down in both directions after a two vehicle head-on collision.
According to a spokesperson for Allegheny County, the crash happened in the 1400 block of Greensburg Road at around 7:44 p.m.
Family members at the scene said their loved one, a young man, died in the crash. About a dozen friends of that young man also came to the scene visibly shaken.
County officials said the victim was a 21-year-old man. Investigators determined he was driving an SUV that cross the center line and struck a Chevy truck driven by a 36-year-old man.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
The crash is under investigation. Greensburg Road will be closed for an undetermined amount of time.
