PITTSBURGH — A 15-year-old Clairton boy is facing several charges for his alleged role in a violent morning on Pittsburgh’s South Side.

Taiden Harvey is accused of opening fire on a group of males in the area of 18th and East Carson streets around 1:30 a.m. Friday. According to court paperwork, one person was struck, a nearby PNC was hit by bullets and two bystanders dove for cover.

Harvey, who was reportedly wearing a ski mask during the shooting, took off on foot and was pursued by officers.

He was arrested without incident in a nearby alley. According to court paperwork, officers heard additional shots being fired during the arrest.

It was determined that another individual was shot on nearby Sidney Street. That victim was allegedly part of the group Harvey had initially shot at.

Channel 11 is reaching out to police to see if they have additional suspects.

In total, investigators reported three shooting victims during the early morning violence. It is unclear where the third victim was originally shot. An officer was also assaulted while trying to arrest a man who had reportedly punched someone unconscious. As of Friday afternoon, all of the victims were listed in stable condition.

Harvey is being held at the Allegheny County Jail. According to court paperwork, he had an outstanding warrant prior to his arrest.
