PITTSBURGH — Two people were carjacked in Pittsburgh early Wednesday morning, and police said the suspects took off with one of them still inside.
Officers were alerted to a carjacking in the 2900 block of Bedford Avenue in the Hill District just after 1:15 a.m.
A woman told police that three males stole the vehicle she was in but was able to get out before the suspects got away with it. However, another man in the car was not able to.
Pittsburgh police said they tracked the victim by his cell phone to the Penn Hills area.
The vehicle reportedly drove past Penn Hills officers, and they bailed out of the car and left the victim, according to police. He was not injured and called the police.
